Director's Letter

Dear Winnipeg Beach Day Camp Parents...​

​

My name is Shirley Ransby, and I’m so excited to be spending my second summer at Winnipeg Beach Day Camp, but this time as your Day Camp Director! After an amazing summer as Assistant Director last year, I’m thrilled to be stepping into this new role.

 

I’ve spent a total of 13 unforgettable summers at B’nai Brith Camp Kenora as both a camper and a staff member. Over the years, I’ve taken on many roles, including canoeing instructor, counselor, kitchen staff, ropes instructor, and coordinator for the Leadership Training Program. Each role helped shape my love for camp and showed me how special the camp community truly is.

 

I’m currently studying Education at the University of Winnipeg, and camp is where I’ve learned just as much, if not more, about leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. Camp is a place where you discover so much about yourself while being surrounded by fun, friends, and fresh air.

 

This summer will be packed with awesome activities like arts and crafts, beach days, and exciting field trips. Every day is a new adventure, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

 

Let’s make Summer 2025 the best one yet! I can’t wait to see and meet everyone soon!
